REO Carpark, Auckland
I discovered this building through the wonderful Timespanner blog. So having arrived in Auckland this afternoon I took the opportunity to wander down Federal Street to have a look for myself. It was constructed in 1937 as a garage and showroom for A B Donald Ltd who were agents for the REO Motor Company.
Designed by architect J O Owen, it was completed in May 1938.

A House in Wagga Wagga
I spotted this house on the hill overlooking Robertson Oval in Wagga. The Saints were getting done like a dinner so I was tempted to leave early and have a closer look. In the end I stayed until the final siren and then went exploring.

Memorial School of Arts, Culcairn
The Sydney Morning Herald of Friday 22 Aug 1924 carried a brief report on the formal opening of the school of arts and memorial building the previous day in the small country NSW town of Culcairn. The Soldiers' Memorial Hall bears the 1924 date above a trio of leadlight windows, an Australian WWI soldier portrayed on the centre panel. While the portico on the corner, which I presume was added after WWII, carries the dates of that global conflict.Reference:
