One of the many Art Deco apartment blocks in Asmara. My favourite part is the alternating metalwork on the window of the stairwell.

    The "alternating metal work" would be another example of "zigzag" ornimentation, i'm guessing.

    I hadn't looked at the metalwork that way but you are right it certainly cood be viewed as a zigzag pattern.
