This is the office at Eltham Palace, the former royal palace where Henry VIII grew up converted and extended as a marvellous Art Deco house in the 1930s by Stephen & Virginia Courtauld.
It is an amazing story given that the army occupied the building for many years before it passed over to English Heritage. I don't know how much work the had to do it get it back to this state but they did a great job and it looks magnificent.
looking forward to visiting Eltham in October

DeleteGreat that it was preserved. We don't do that very well in Australia.
