Monumento às Bandeiras, São Paulo

This amazing structure is called Monumento às Bandeiras or the Monument to the Flags. It is at Praça Armando Salles de Oliveira near Ibirapuera Park. Designed by Victor Brecheret, it is 50 metres long and 16 metres tall and was unveiled during the opening of Ibirapuera Park in 1954.

    This is magnificent. I have come to know Sao Paulo & Ibirapuera Park through a blog friend and this makes another reason to go there one day.
