Aroyn, Nyora

Believe it our not there is a fabulous Art Deco house on the Nyora-Poowong Road. It's called Aroyn and it is set quite a way back from the road. Unfortunately this is as close as I got. Maybe one day, I'll get an invitation to visit. Of course the zoom took me a little closer so we can see just how good the house is.

    Fancy that, being stuck in the middle of nowhere off a road I often used to travel. Not sure if ruched blinds are Deco, but I like them.

    We normally think of Deco as being urban, industrial, Hollywood or car-related. It is quite an unexpected pleasure to see a Deco home on large rural estate.

      For sure Helen. There are a couple in the Dandenongs, particularly Burnham Beeches, and Mooramong near Skipton is another with some deco.
