In Melbourne Art Deco, Robin Grow, President of the Art Deco & Modernism Society, examines the rise, fall and resurgence of Art Deco in Melbourne from the 1930s to the present day. With contemporary images by David Thompson and a team of photographers, supported by archival material, Melbourne Art Deco offers an invaluable insight into history and current state of one of the city's most popular styles.
This was a very sexy building for a mere tennis club. I wonder if they had weddings, restaurants and receptions there, as well.
ReplyDeleteOh Hels, I thought that aswell but when you start to explore the website it is clear that this is not a mere tennis club. The have lots of facilities for swimming, basketball, judo, volleyball, indoor soccer, gymnastics and even tennis. They appear to offer dancing, tai chi, yoga & singing classes also. And more besides. And this is just one of their two city locations. They also have a country location and the Minas Tênis Náutico Clube as well. I wish my Portuguese was better to fully understand their site.
