  1. Nicely captured! In small country towns, the opening of a big Deco building must have been a monent of pleasure and pride for the locals. Deco pubs in big cities were also lovely, but they might not have stood out so clearly from the surrounding architecture.

    1. I think that is so true Helen. The local pub would have been the centre of just about everything going on in these towns and the church I suppose. So to have a modern pub in the latest style would have been a big deal.

  3. Is that rusty colour a traditional art deco colour? I don't care. I think it works well and the painting was thoughtfully planned.

    1. I wouldn't have said that the rusty colour is a colour I have seen on a lot of deco buildings but I agree that they have worked out there colour scheme quite well and it works as a contrast to the cream colour.
