In the early 1950s Bernardine and I N Hagan asked Frank Lloyd Wright to design a house for them on their land in the mountains above Uniontown in Pennsylvania. Lloyd Wright obliged and without visiting the site, except for a short trip during the construction phase, he produced a wonderful house.

It is odd what makes Art Deco, but the house clearly is.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure anything by Frank Lloyd Wright is Art Deco. This is one of those buildings that I like that doesn't quite fit into the subject of this blog.
