Pristine condition and very nice. The ceiling lamp fitting is great.
ReplyDeleteThey know how to look after their buildings in the States.
DeleteAlphonse Capone would have known that building.
ReplyDeleteIn case you're not aware there's a classic art deco building in Williamstown: corner of Stevedore Street and Douglas Parade; it's just the upstairs section (now apartments), shops at street level. A bit further west up Stevedore there's a bluestone building on a corner that was a hotel in the 1850s. It's recently been restored: awful aquarmarine paint blasted off the outside walls.
Happy hunting.
-Robert.
Thanks Robert,
DeleteI know the building you mean. It used to be a Funeral Directors originally.
What a fabulous building! It reminds me a little of the Empire State Building with that decoration in your last photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm working across the road from The Adelphi in London and not a day goes by that I don't appreciate its ornamental bees or corner decorations. What a fabulous buildling.
And the Empire has deco bridges also.
DeleteThanks. There's isn't a photo of it here so I guessed you didn't know.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Robert.
